Abstract - Reading Paul Klee (30. Strangers)

30. Strangers

Are we all passing through life
as unique symbols, unable
to be connected?
Or, do we feel the connection
with each others, even
with the remotest
strangers?
Oh, strangers ---
tanned by oriental Sun
come along
with reversed colors tone
attract our deepest
intimacy
with mighty
charm ---
yes, we
do
belong

  1. We are all strangers passing through life as unique symbols, unable to connect with some and connecting well with others. Wonderful poem and it really fits the painting!

  4. Beautiful, yunyi. Not an easy painting to put words to. I love the last lines of the poem where you invite the unknown, the stranger, into your life. By the way, have you visited sprigblossom's blog lately? She just posted a new poem, which is also wonderful.

  5. Your poem definitely reflects the feeling I get from this painting. We might be strangers at the macroscopic level, but microscopically, there's not much separating us from one another.

  8. We all seem like strangers sometimes, but when disasters hit, we become one. Loved the painting too.
